Sports Medicine 3 & 4 will offer students the opportunity to become Certified Personal Trainers. In this class, the study material for personal training, the practice tests, and the in-person examination will be included in the course fee. The certification is offered through an organization called the National Academy of Sports Medicine or NASM. Once certified, students will be able to work for companies like health clubs, gyms, or even start their own business. In addition to frequent hands-on opportunities, we will also collaborate with healthcare professionals outside of athletic training to allow students to network, learn about job opportunities, attain shadowing experiences, and develop professional relationships for future reference opportunities.
