This year-long course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of small business operations. Students will learn about the basic fundamentals of starting, managing, and growing a small business, with practical applications specific to career programs.
Small business operations involve the day-to-day activities and processes that keep a business running efficiently. Key components include:
1. Management: Overseeing daily activities, setting goals, and making strategic decisions.
2. Finance: Managing budgets, expenses, and cash flow, as well as bookkeeping and financial reporting.
3. Marketing: Promoting products or services to attract customers through various channels, including social media,
advertising, and networking.
4. Sales: Engaging with customers to drive sales and build relationships, often through direct selling or online platforms.
5. Human Resources: Hiring, training, and managing employees, as well as ensuring compliance with labor laws.
6. Customer Service: Providing support to customers before, during, and after their purchase to enhance satisfaction
and loyalty.
7. Supply Chain Management: Coordinating the procurement, production, and distribution of goods or services.
