Diesel Automotive Technology 3 & 4

The Diesel Automotive Technology II course is a one-year program designed to train diesel mechanics to enter the workforce at the apprentice level. Students will have the opportunity to obtain student ASE certifications and a job shadow experience. It is expected that students will enroll in the AYES program.
Students are trained in:
- Advanced Manual/Automatic Transmission
- Engine Repair and Rebuild
- Advanced Computer Diagnostic & Engine Performance – Gas and Diesel Engines
- Advanced Braking Systems
- Advanced Driveline Repair
- DOT Inspection Procedures
- HVAC
- Advanced Electrical Diagnostic & Repair
- Hydraulics
- Advanced Suspension & Repair
All courses will follow ASE standards. Students will be working on live units with real-world problems to diagnose/repair and to gain the hands-on experience they need to become successful technicians.
Counseling Notes:
- Students must have instructor recommendation to register for this course.
- Safety glasses, shop shirt or coveralls, and steel-toe shoes are required.
- To be eligible for concurrent enrollment credit a student must maintain a grade of C or higher in the high school course.
Course fee: $40.00.
