Students learn self-defense skills from instructor

  • Empower
  • Engage

The EMT class at FutureForward at Washington Square is learning self-defense. Sometimes patients can be aggressive or unruly. Our CSI/EMT teacher Scott Schankweiler is teaching students how to get out of sticky situations. Even reminding them that these situations can happen anywhere, not necessarily with patients. The students are learning 3 different techniques to get out of different grabs and get away safely without harm to themselves or the patient. Scott trains at Mile High Karate. Thank you for teaching these important skills to our students! As you can see they are talking through the possible situations and outcomes, practicing, and having fun. Thank you for empowering these students each day!
