I have been in EMS and the fire service for 20 yrs. I obtained a degree in Fire Science, and have served as both a firefighter and paramedic in our state for over a decade. I am still in the fire service, but have followed my passion to take the real-life experiences and knowledge I have learned on the department to classrooms to teach EMT school to our students.
I bring a special comical, yet memorable way of instructing the students. Using props, hands-on training, and creativity, the class brings reality closer than most can get in the average EMT course elsewhere.
We are partnered with Denver Health Paramedic Division, which allows us to do our clinical ride alongs with them, as well as work in the Emergency Department. 12 college credits are available for those who have successfully passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, at Metro State University toward one of their four programs in Emergency Services.
Our students have been hired at many different locations throughout the area, including Denver Health Paramedic Division, Stadium Medical, Northglenn Ambulance, Boulder Emergency Department, Fort Lupton Fire Department, and many others.
