My name is Joel Sherry and I am the Instructor for the new Firefighter course at Future Forward-Washington Square. I look forward to sharing my professional experiences and preparing students for an exciting and rewarding career in the Fire Service.
I retired from the City of Westminster Fire Department in February of this year after 34 years of service. Throughout those years, I served in many capacities including Firefighter/Paramedic, Fire Prevention Specialist, Haz-Mat Technician and Arson Investigator. In my free time (now that I’m retired!), I enjoy spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing and hiking with my family.
I have been teaching subjects specific to the Firefighting profession at the Community College and Career level for over 30 years and am looking forward to providing students enrolled in this new course a real world, hands on experience.
