P-TEACH

Pathways to Teaching - Inspiring, Preparing and Retaining the Next Generation of Teachers

P-TEACH (Pathways to Teaching) is an innovative "Grow Our Own" program in Adams 12 Five Star Schools designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of educators. Through college-credit courses in partnership with CU Denver, hands-on classroom internships, and paid apprenticeship opportunities, P-TEACH empowers high school students, paraeducators, and other district staff to explore the teaching profession and take tangible steps toward becoming licensed educators. By focusing on the recruitment of BIPOC, multilingual, and first-generation students, P-TEACH is building a more diverse and representative teacher workforce to better reflect and serve our community.

“We see the career we want to do for the rest of our life. We're there in the classroom, teaching, understanding what we want to do.”
