Behavioral and Mental Health 5 & 6

Credit: 2 Practical Arts/Elective

In this advanced course students will:

Continue to expand their knowledge in all concepts introduced in level 3 & 4 courses. Students will study personality theory and abnormal psychology with opportunities for additional college credit. In addition there will be differentiated in-the-field placements providing hands-on learning opportunities. They will also work to solidify their Motivational Interviewing Skills as well as develop clarity in using the DSM-5 and DSM-5TR in various fields in relation to mental health diagnosis.

• Successful completion of Behavioral and Mental Health 3 & 4
• Students may have the opportunity to receive college credit for courses to be determined.
