Credit: 2 Fine/Practical Arts or Elective
In this advanced course students will:
- Continue with all concepts introduced in Level 1 & 2 in a more advanced capacity
- Identify the steps of case management, from intake to follow-up
- Apply the strengths-based clinical case management model
- Practice crisis interventions and clinical documentation
- Demonstrate active listening skills, including paraphrasing, summarizing, and clarifying, to enhance client engagement and understanding
- Develop empathetic responses to client emotions and experiences, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic environment
- Create open-ended questions and reflective statements to facilitate exploration of client thoughts, feelings and behaviors
