Eliza Ramos, class of 2026, makes history as the first student from FutureForward at Washington Square to complete the Kenworth Student Essentials Technical School Program and become recognized as a Kenworth entry-level technician.

Eliza alongside her Diesel Instructor John Adkins completed 107 training modules, totaling 34 hours, and attended a four-day training over the summer to earn the necessary certifications.

Now recognized as an entry-level technician, she can be hired at any Kenworth dealership across the country. Eliza is currently completing her diesel internship at Acme Distribution, while still attending school.

The Kenworth Essentials student certification program is entirely online and includes the same content Kenworth dealerships require of their new diesel tech hires. Upon completion of the online training modules, a student is eligible for two professional instructor-led courses where they will be in virtual classes with dealer technicians from around the country.  When those two classes are completed, the student receives the Kenworth Essentials certification.
