FutureForward students use art to reflect on Patriot Day

  • Collaborate
  • Empower

Students in the Crime Scene Investigation program at Washington Square were given an assignment to reflect on 9/11 and create a piece of art to represent their reflection. Students produced things like poems, visual artwork, music pieces, photography and collages. Student Xitlaly Villalobos, who is in both CSI and Welding in Washington Square, collaborated across both programs to weld a 9/11 mural. Xitlaly worked closely with both the CSI and welding instructors to create a beautiful and meaningful piece of art that now hangs in the commons of Washington Square. Great job, Xitlaly!
