FutureForward alumni join Sable Altura Fire Team

On Sunday, Aug. 10 the Sable Altura Fire Rescue held its annual academy graduation, and two former FutureForward at Washington Square students were among its graduates: Gavin Silva ('23) and Patrick Walker ('23).

As graduates, Gavin and Patrick will join the Sable Altura Fire Protection District as probationary firefighters.

Since its opening, Sable Altura and Washington Square have forged a strong partnership. Instructors Joel Sherry (Firefighting) and Tom Lombardo (EMT) have shared their expertise and knowledge in the classroom, while preparing their students for real world experiences by scheduling ride-alongs and shadow experiences. This connection has led to a growing community of Washington Square alumni at Sable Altura.

Gavin and Patrick will join former students Cameron Fabry ('24) & Reese Tiffany ('23) in service to the residents of unincorporated Adams and Arapahoe counties
