Design for the FutureForward at Bollman expansion is underway

Latest News and Announcements from our school.

Design for a bond-funded expansion for FutureForward at Bollman is well underway. The project, slated to break ground next summer, will bring a 36,000-square-foot expansion to the facility, along with expanded programming and job training opportunities for students.

The two-story addition includes a new entry to the building, a public-facing salon, counseling and administrative offices, and dedicated spaces for esthetics, barbering, video editing, dental assisting, auto body repair and culinary arts.

A new CTE yard, located on the east side of the addition, will serve as a multifunctional space that allows room for outdoor learning and provides vehicle access to the school.

The expansion will blend design elements from the current Bollman building to ensure a cohesive look and feel that mirrors the current facility.

Preliminary architectural renderings for the expansion show spaces that emphasize natural light and an inviting design that provides room for growth to both new and existing programming.

Demand for CTE programs across the district is at an all-time high, with growing waitlists for many programs. In addition to investing in its two dedicated high school CTE programs – FutureForward at Bollman and FutureForward at Washington Square – the district is rolling out a CTE expansion at all middle schools and K-8s, including six schools in summer 2026.

The CTE expansion is part of a district-wide effort to help students uncover new interests and strengths early in their educational journey. This approach provides students with opportunities to expand their skills and prepare for their next steps, whether that’s higher education or entering the workforce.

Work on the project was originally scheduled to begin later in the bond cycle, but the expansion was moved up to take place alongside construction for the new Thornton High School, which neighbors FutureForward at Bollman.

The expanded building is projected to open to students in fall 2028. In the coming weeks, user groups with representation from educators, students and administrators will help decide design details for the expansion.
