FutureForward In-Person Learning
Greetings FutureForward at Bollman and Washington Square Students and Parents:
The Adams 12 Five Star School District recently announced the recommendation of Superintendent Chris Gdowski that all students in grades 6-12 transition back to a remote learning model for the remainder of the fall semester. This recommendation included the option for identified Career and Technical Education students at FutureForward at Bollman and FutureForward at Washington Square to participate in some in-person instruction due to the ability to socially distance effectively in these programs.
With this in mind, we are pleased to share that we have received approval for our FutureForward programs at the Bollman and Washington Square campuses to remain on their current in-person schedules as described below:
Programs In-person Four Days a Week
Programs In-person Two Days a Week
All other programs at Bollman and Washington Square-Please Note that Effective 10-26-2020, All Diesel Technology Classes at Washington Square have moved from the Four Day per week model to the Two Day model.
There will be no transportation provided from home bus stops to home high schools; however, transportation will be provided between home high schools and the FutureForward campuses on regular bus schedules on these dates. Students who may need to arrive to FutureForward campuses early or remain late due to this adjustment in transportation, will be provided space on these campuses to work on their remote courses. Please continue to visit futureforward.adams12.org for the most current and relevant information.
Health and safety remain a top priority for us and students will continue to do the following:
Complete a self-health screening, including a temperature check before arriving at school each day.
Wear face coverings when on school property and in all common areas (hallways, classrooms, main office, commons area, etc.), and during arrival and departure.
Practice frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer. Students and staff will be reminded to wash/sanitize hands multiple times throughout the day, especially during transitions.
As a staff, we will monitor that students are following these protocols as well as maintaining proper distancing. Learning to follow important safety procedures remains a critical element of these programs and the proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work stations will be an on-going component of student training. This will be in addition to enhanced cleaning protocols our district has already implemented.
We are pleased that our students can continue to attend Bollman and Washington Square programs in-person.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
